Ripple Down House was built as a Rectory in 1853. Since 1977 it has been successfully used as an environmental education centre. The 3 acres of grounds include a playing field, barbecue site & fitness trail. Plus many habitat areas including a large pond.We are just over a mile from the sea. Either week or weekend bookings are available for school journeys or group accommodation - whether you are a school, youth or adult group.

  Rippledown Accommodation Charges
 
RESIDENTIAL VISITS For School Journeys or Group Accommodation, 24 hour full board includes all meals, accommodation, free access to tea and coffee for Group Leaders plus use of all Centre facilities, grounds and resources (subject to availability). A full Monday to Friday residential stay is 4 nights. Please note there is a minimum charge for 35 for booking The Rectory between May and July. Also note that exclusive use of the whole centre can only be guaranteed if groups consist of not less than 40 children plus adults.

The Old Rectory

North & south wings of the main house (The Old Rectory) allow male and female bedrooms to be separated.

 The Old Stables  
 In addition to the main house, the Old Stables offers accommodation with separate male and female toilet, washbasin and shower facilities. Also a large lounge/study room. This may be used as overflow accommodation by large groups or hired separately by small groups.
Maximum 19 visitors including adult leaders with youth groups. The Stables is also available for hire to small adult groups as self-contained Bed & Breakfast accommodation.

  Making a Booking
 

Give us a call to make sure the week or weekend you want is available. Then a deposit payment (£50 per night) will secure the booking.We recommend making a preliminary visit to see all the facilities & discuss your programme. Jill will deal with all the bookings for you - including need to do is arrange coach travel to Rippledown.
